CONTRACT AWARDED for REVETMENT EXTENSION and REPAIR
A $1,569,774 contract was awarded on May 25 to Quinn Construction of Rapid City to make repairs to an approximately 500 feet stretch of the one mile of bank stabilization revetment and to extend the revetment by 2,250 feet. The revetment protects Lewis & Clark’s primary well field from erosion. The repairs and extension are needed because of erosion caused by the Missouri River. Construction will be completed by the end of 2017. $1,079,432 of the contract amount is for the extension and $490,342 is for the repairs. Federal funding will be used for the extension and reserve funds will be used for the repairs.
