$20M APPROVED FOR L&C IN FY25 ENERGY AND WATER DEVELOPMENT APPROPRIATIONS BILL

The Senate Appropriations Committee on August 1 approved the FY25 Energy and Water Development Appropriations Bill, which includes $20M for L&C!  This is addition to the $6.825M proposed by the Administration.  If included in the final FY25 Appropriations Bill approved by Congress, it will allow Lewis & Clark to complete construction of the 44.19 million gallons a day Base System. 

The Committee gave credit to Senators Thune, Klobuchar, Rounds and Smith for the $20M.  A big thank you to our champions for their congressionally directed spending requests!
