$15M APPROVED FOR FY19
The Bureau of Reclamation announced on November 7 that Lewis & Clark will receive a total of $15M in FY19 for continued construction. This is a slight increase from the $14.875M Lewis & Clark received in FY18. Funding will be used toward the pipeline between Sioux Center and the SD side of the Big Sioux River. $14.9M of the total came from a portion of the $98.74M in additional funding the tristate delegation worked hard to secure in the budget for the Rural Water Program. The remaining $100K is what the administration originally proposed for L&C. “We are incredibly thankful to the tristate delegation for their efforts to secure the additional funds, as well as their continued strong support. Our thanks as well to Bureau of Reclamation officials in Billings, Bismarck and Pierre for their continued partnership,” said Executive Director Troy Larson.
