SIBLEY METER BUILDING NAMED IN HONOR OF LARRY PEDLEY
In addition to celebrating the ribbon cutting for Sibley on October 28, the Sibley meter building was dedicated in honor of Director Larry Pedley. Pedley first joined the Sibley City Council in 1985 and made the motion for the city to join L&C. He has served on L&C’s Board of Directors since 2006. He remarked, “Finally the wait is over! Council members and I were fortunate enough to cast a “yes” vote to join Lewis & Clark. Sibley now has another reliable source of quality drinking water, which provides resiliency. Lewis & Clark water will save households money in lower costs such as soap and plumbing bills, as well as provide an improved quality of life for everyone in the community. It also opens the door for more economic growth and development. We are so excited that finally we are receiving Lewis & Clark water.” Pedley received Lewis & Clark’s highest honor, The Trailblazer Award, in 2024.
