BACKUP GENERATOR for TEA PUMP STATION

A $1,017,400 contract was awarded to American Electric of Sioux Falls on June 27 to install a 1,500 kW backup generator at the Tea pump station. It is a barely used 2010 model with only four hours on it, which saved just over $350,000 compared to the bid for a new generator. Prep work for installation of the generator started in late August and the substantial completion deadline is April 2019.
