CONTRACT AWARDED for MCWC-EAST SERVICE LINE

A $2,220,000 contract was awarded on June 22 to Winter Brothers Underground of Sioux Falls to construct the MCWC-East Service Line along Six Mile Road in southeastern Sioux Falls.  The 3.8 mile segment will be 16 inch PVC pipe, and will provide the third and final connection for Minnehaha Community Water Corp.  The substantial completion deadline is November 2018, but the contractor plans to begin construction this July so it is anticipated substantial completion will be reached much sooner.  “The low bid was $454,000 less than originally budgeted for the project, which is great news at it relates to our federal funding ceiling,” said Executive Director Troy Larson.
