The Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) system is the integration control system that allows all the facilities throughout the entire project to communicate with each other and to provide the operations team with the needed information to ensure everything is running properly. It also provides the operations team with the ability to make changes remotely as needed.
MicroComm of Olathe, KS was selected as the controls integrator. They are providing the exclusive software integration services. MicroComm installed the SCADA system at the water treatment plant, wells, meter buildings, pump stations and storage facilities, as well as ensured every piece of equipment works in concert with every other piece of equipment in the system. The contracted amount as of May 2017 is $4.2 million, but the amount increases as more facilities are constructed.
