KING TOURS TREATMENT PLANT

Rep. Steve King toured the water treatment plant on November 8. King has been a strong supporter of the project ever since being elected to Congress in 2002, and has toured different construction sites and attended various ground breaking/ribbon cutting ceremonies, but this was his first opportunity to see the treatment plant, which started operating in July 2012. After the tour officials from Hull, Sheldon, Sibley and Sioux Center sat down with him to discuss a wide variety of topics, including the need to exclude authorized projects like L&C from the earmark ban and ensuring the administration increases its funding request for L&C in FY20 above the $100K it proposed in FY19. King readily agreed on both counts and said he would do everything he can to help.
