ImageGroundbreaking for the Lewis & Clark Regional Water System was held on August 21, 2003. Construction of the project is moving full speed ahead and estimated to be completed around 2019, depending on federal funding levels.
The first "official" construction for Lewis & Clark was the installation of a 90' long 72" diameter casing, which was installed under Highway 19 while it was being rebuilt in August 2003. This casing adjacent to the water treatment plant site will house the 54" raw water pipeline that leads to the plant.
